The work before us is significant, but so is the collective power represented within LABSE. We have the knowledge. We have the experience. We have the passion. And most importantly, we have one another.

I am incredibly excited about the work we are about to do. I believe the relationships we build, the leaders we develop, the educators we support, and the students and communities we impact will create a ripple effect across this state.

The time is NOW. The mission is clear. The movement is underway, and the IMPACT will be explosive. This work cannot be accomplished alone. It will require each of us bringing our expertise, our voices, our experiences, and our commitment to the table. There is a place for you in this work, and there is power in what we can accomplish together.  I invite you to connect, engage, serve, lead, and help us build something that will have a lasting impact on education throughout Louisiana.

The vision is strong. The mission is clear. The time is NOW.

Together, we will lead with purpose, serve with passion, advocate with courage, and build a stronger future for Louisiana education.

Louisiana Proud. Louisiana Strong. LABSE Strong.

A Message from Our President

Welcome to the Louisiana Alliance of Black School Educators (LABSE).

It is both an honor and a privilege to serve as President of an organization committed to elevating educators, empowering students, strengthening families, and advancing educational excellence throughout Louisiana.

LABSE is more than an organization, it is a statewide movement of educators, leaders, advocates, parents, partners, and community members united by purpose. We believe every student deserves access to excellence, every educator deserves support and advocacy, and every community deserves strong educational leadership.

As we continue to grow, our focus remains clear: building meaningful partnerships, developing leaders, supporting educators, advocating for equitable opportunities, and creating lasting impact in schools and communities across our state.

To the members of this great organization, I look forward to working alongside each of you as we navigate the educational landscape of Louisiana. Together, we will advocate boldly for the students, educators, schools, families, and communities that need us to stand up, speak out, and ensure their voices are heard.
